“Material Marquetry” is the 5th Place award-winner in the 2005 “Seven Sisters New Quilts from an Old Favorite” contest. The book, “Seven Sisters New Quilts from an Old Favorite” was released in March, 2005, and features this quilt and others from the contest. The quilt was exhibited at the Museum of the American Quilters’ Society March through June, 2005, and traveled to other venues through December, 2006.
Material Marquetry is an innovative Seven Sisters design. Cotton fabrics, wool batting, cotton thread. Original feather quilting designs inspired by Infinite Feathers, by Anita Shackleford, and drawn using the Infinite Feathers quilting design template. Over 9,000 feet of thread was used for the quilting.

- Accepted into the In the American Tradition VI Exhibit. The Exhibit debuted at the IQA Quilt Show, Houston, Texas, November 1-4, 2007, and traveled to other select venues throughout 2008.
- Honorable Mention award winner at the National Quilting Association Show, Columbus, Ohio, June, 2007.
