Break Time

Set a timer while you machine quilt to remind you of break time. It’s easy to get so caught up in the rhythm of machine quilting and “just finishing this last little bit” that you can find yourself stiff and sore after too many hours sitting at the machine. When the timer rings, get up and walk around, walk the dog, pet the cat, stretch, rest your eyes, have a drink and a snack, and return to your project refreshed and ready for more.
