Support your local quilt shop. Even if prices are a little bit more expensive than shops online, forming a relationship with your local quilt shop is important. Local shops have inspirational classes, are usually involved with local guilds and shows, and will likely help you out in a “fabric emergency” if it’s in their power and you have a good relationship with the staff. It’s also a great place to share your work, or ask for help or quilting advice when you need it. And who doesn’t need a “live and in person” quilt shop visit for some fabric fondling and an inspirational boost every now and again?
