See the Light

Full spectrum lighting is arguably better on the eyes for the fine work that quilters and crafters do, but even one or two “daylight lamps” can take a big chunk out of your fabric budget. Don’t be fooled into thinking these expensive models are the only option though. Even your local hardware store stocks full spectrum light bulbs that fit in standard light fixtures so that you can replace your incandescent bulbs for a fraction of the cost of purchasing daylight lamps. Check the packaging for the Kelvin temperature rating; 5,500K approximates the color temperature of midday sunlight.
