Thread Pull Ups

When you start a new line of machine quilting, take just one stitch down and back up with the needle while holding the top thread. Pull up on the top thread until a loop of the bobbin thread pops up through the quilt. Use a seam ripper to grab the bobbin thread, and pull it all the way through the quilt. Hold both threads as you start quilting tiny stitches to anchor the threads and prevent knots from forming on the back of the quilt.
