If you’re having problems with the thread breaking frequently during machine sewing, take these steps:
Check the needle size and type; using the wrong needle for either the type of thread or the type of fabric could cause the thread to break.
Replace the needle; the needle could be dull, bent slightly, or it could have a rough spot from the manufacturing process.
Completely re-thread the machine, top and bobbin.
Check that you’re using a thread that’s compatible to your fabric and the type of sewing you’re doing.
Clean and oil your machine.
If all else fails, check the thread itself. Perhaps it’s a bad spool that’s just prone to breakage, or maybe your machine would prefer a different brand. It happens!
